The Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Kove is a very recent player in the sector, having entered the global market in 2022. However, its newcomer status in the industry has done little to affect the speed at which the brand has been launching new models. We have previously discussed their 450 cc rally replica and now Kove ventures into the mid-size ADV segment with the launch of their 800X Adventure.
The mid-size ADV segment has been gaining prominence in recent years, partly due to the success of major brands such as KTM 790 and 890 Adventure, Yamaha Tenere 700, Aprilia Tuareg 660, or Triumph Tiger 900. Recently, brands like Benelli and CFMOTO have revealed their own interpretations of the ideal mid-size adventure machine. Now, Kove has done the same, following practically the same formula as its counterparts. The new 800X range of adventure motorcycles is particularly focused on off-road, without forgetting the touring amenities that make an ADV bike.

From a style perspective, the new Kove 800X Adventure clearly has a rally-inspired design, with LED lights, protection bars, an aluminum plate on the bottom of the fairing, and a color TFT screen.
In total, Kove offers three versions of the 800X Adventure – Standard, Pro, and Rally. The Standard version has the specifications mentioned above, however, for riders looking for a mix of on-road and off-road performance, there is the Kove 800X Adventure Pro. This premium model offers adjustable KYB suspension with a slightly longer stroke of 240 mm and an increased ground clearance of 275 mm. Meanwhile, the Rally version goes even further, also with KYB suspension, but this time with 270 mm of travel in the front and 250 mm in the rear. The ground clearance in the Rally version is an impressive 293 mm.
